I think you might take one of those big eye darts int he middle out.
The "A" is drawn out, but the glance seems furtive. If he is embarrassed and he checking around him while trying to hide it you might want to bring the shoulders up or have the body come into that action. If it's him thinking of the word right now it's a bit too big.
