Favor Polish
Hey guys,
I've made a couple changes in this one. Let me know how it feels. I've been trying to get the head turn to screen left looking less hitchy but its been a struggle.
Hey Kyle!! This looks good!! I don't remember you having the rotate z (side to side tilt) of the head lead that motion around fr 59-61, it felt weird to me, maybe it's just moving too far in the z rotate there? In any case I feel like that might be what's making that area feel an insy bit hitchy. You have a brow move around fr 60-64, and it feels late to me, maybe play with moving that earlier? His eight ball comes up around fr 116, then down by fr122 and then it slowly drifts up until the end, and this feels complicated to me. I'd just ease it moving down slow after fr 122. I also feel like the distance it travels might be a little too big on the move as a whole(fr112-end). But see if other people feel that way because I might be wrong haha. I'm missing the tensing pose on the hands because once it gets to the pose on fr105 it moves out of it again, it might be nice to have them tense earlier and hold the pose longer. On that half blink thing I suggested last week, it feels too tiny and doesn't read. I'd push it too big and then scale it down until it feels right! I think it looks really good and you're close!!
Hey Kyle! The new look to screen-right on favor feels good to me. The eye roll flows into it much better. About Elissa's comment on the 8-ball motion near the end - I only feel that the final down motion on the ball is a bit too late. I think you could make that come earlier. The rest doesn't really bug me. From 64 to 68 you have a nostril move downward that caught my eye. I think it may be leftover from before? I really like the way he squeezes out the word "Favor" at the end - that's great! Good work!
Hi Kyle, looking good! I agree with hand and 8-ball comments above. My only other note is about the head accent on "favor". You changed the direction as we mentioned in class, but now it's coming right at camera, which doesn't read as clearly. Try having the head drop down a bit more (tilt neck forward and to screen right) to make the change clearer.
