Hey
everyone! I just posted my newest pass at the dialog
shot. I addressed all the body notes from class, worked more on the eye/brow animation, and added mouth
animation. I've been looking at it for too long now, and it feels pretty good to me so please let me know if you see
anything that bugs you!

Hey Zach nice work man!
ReplyDeleteAt around frame 87 the screen left hand freezes.
The head turn at 103 feels like it hits a wall. I'd watch out for that.
The brow movement on the sigh feels a little too harsh. I think it would be better if the mid sections of the brows led the animation and go less on the inner brow
Hi Zach, this is progressing nicely! Some assorted notes:
ReplyDelete151-end the screen left hand with book feels very IK when in moves. Try to put in some more natural arcs and make wrist angle react to elbow angle.
104-116 I still think the body motion on the exhale is too big. Tone it down more to give him a beat of stillness and let us focus on his face.
77-88 screen right hand resting on counter feels a bit clunky. Check arcs and spacing in wrist, overlap action of fingers with action of hand.
162-168 his screen left leg pops up
1-15 the movement of his head at the beginning of the shot is a bit complicated. Would be better as a simple rise in anticipation of the dialog.
Lip synch is coming a long well but I'll have some more notes on Thursday. Good stuff!
Thanks for the notes, Victor and Kyle!
ReplyDeleteI'll post a new video tomorrow.
